Part of KJ Martinet’s excellent bifurcating relationship study from Dimensions IV. Probably my favorite part of the issue, and you can read the whole thing online here.
This is probably a bit premature, but here’s the a bit of the “on the next episode” preview at the back of Zejian Shen’s new Party Plans One, which really also sums up the series so far pretty well, I think.
Party Plans is what appears to be an inter-dimensional reality television transmission that Zejian Shen has been intercepting and serializing all around the crop of killer new comics comps in the last year and a half or so. Here, muscle-bound anthropomorphic landforms and socialites engage in mayhem and melodrama, check eachothers’ social networking Bro-files, and inhabit some really nice interior design and page layouts. I’d seen bits of this in, I think, Snakebomb, Happiness, and Lodaçal, but this 40-page collection gathers all of those with quite a lot of new action, and a couple excellent interlude pages like the above.
Available on Ze’s Big Cartel page! (Where, incidentally, Dimensions III and IV are also now up for purchase, as well as Let’s Do It, her mini from Fakeheads III.)
Bonus drawing:

Jee-Shaun Wang in Dimensions III. (Continuing a long streak of unusually high excellence-to-pages ratio for Dimensions.)
Page from Allison Dubois’s “Hat Trick” in Dimensions III, which is mysteriously still pre-order only, despite already being on the shelves at Desert Island. (For that matter, Dimensions IV is already on the shelves at Desert Island — they debuted at Toronto and CAKE respectively). Allison also did the stylish x-ray-cat-cube cover for v.III, and her Rabbit-eye Alice in Wonderland riff here is one of my favorite bits of the book.
